Since battling with their weight throughout their teens and early 20s, both sisters developed first hand knowledge on how hard and disheartening it was to find a weight loss program that worked and most importantly, one that provided all the tools they needed to keep the weight off. The sisters tried every diet under the sun, from the Atkins Diet to the Cabbage Soup diet and for every pound they managed to lose, they ended up gaining an extra two back on.

Being overweight had made the sisters very shy and reserved. Instead of going out with friends on weekends, they concentrated on their studies, careers and took comfort in food. For entertainment, the sisters would enjoy nights in on the sofa with a DVD, Pizza and tub of Ice-Cream.
The attitude of change came about when both sisters realised that they were still young and in their prime; a time which was meant to be spent having fun, dating, partying, hanging out with the friends and, dare I say it… shopping.
Ony and Ogo started working on themselves from the inside out. Total Weight Loss = 11 Stone
After years of being fat and frumpy, Ony reached a point in her life where she was no longer satisfied with her weight. As a woman in her early twenties she wanted to live life to the fullest, experience new things, go out with friends, wear fabulous clothes and feel beautiful.
Ony realised that in order to lose the weight gained over many years of unhealthy eating habits, she first had to change her mind set; she had to believe in herself and find things that motivated her in order to focus on a positive lifestyle change. A trip to New York was the first step towards that lifestyle change and this is where her successful weight lose story began.
One day, whilst visiting a friend, Ony was amazed at how many large women passed her by on the warm streets of New York. However, there was something different about these women, something fascinating and alluring; these women were smiling, walking tall and had an infectious confidence that made everyone look twice.
No matter what dress size they wore, they still managed to look stylish, sexy and confident. It was through this experience that Ony realised that larger women could also be seen as glamorous and beautiful, something she had always associated with being slim. After spending two months in the states, Ony learned that there was a name for these captivating women; they where called PHAT, meaning (Pretty Hot And Thick) a term coined by Americans referring to large fabulous and voluptuous women.
As soon as Ony returned back from the states, she began searching through her wardrobe, trying on clothes and throwing out anything that made her look fat or frumpy.
Ony began to learn about the importance of nutrition in weight loss and started cutting down on meal portions, replacing processed food with home cooked meals and choosing healthier snacks. Within a month of healthy eating, Ony started seeing fantastic results.
In the second month, Ony upped her intake of fresh fruit and vegetables, eliminated alcohol from her diet and began to exercise. She got up half an hour early to jog up and down her street for thirty minutes three times a week which would often leave her panting and sweating. Every week, she increased her speed and soon began running for an hour three times a week.
Ony admits she began to get bored of exercising and feared she would revert back to her old ways as her weight plateaued. However, in order to stay focused and motivated, Ony purchased an 8ft trampoline and set it up in her back garden. The results where astonishing, she began to lose weight, tone up and her skin began to tighten.

“I never felt confident about how I looked and I was always buying clothes that would cover up as much as possible. I embraced my new found phrase P.H.A.T (Pretty Hot And Thick) because I loved how larger women in the states took something negative and made it positive. When I came back to London, I used the concept in my everyday life. I acknowledged that I was P.H.A.T and needed to make healthier choices in life and I knew that losing weight would take time but in order to feel good whilst facing my weight loss battle, I knew that I had to dress to impress (myself) in order to feel gorgeous. As time went by, my clothes started to feel loose and my confidence rose. Now I feel so much healthier and I can wear nice clothes without having to hope that the stores have my size.” Ony

Ogo was stuck; the countless failed attempts of dieting left her feeling defeated and destined to remain big all her adult life. Ony recognised the unhappiness that plagued her sister because it was only a year and half ago that Ony was in the same predicament. Ony then decided to design a weight loss plan for her sister, the same plan that helped her lose her weight.
The weight loss plan forced Ogo to incorporate exercise into her daily routine and eat ‘real’ foods instead of junk foods. As a result, she noticed a major boost in her energy levels and began to feel more satisfied with smaller meal portions.
The results were amazing. Inspired by her improved quality of life, Ogo took the next step and started doing exercises. She started walking, then jogging, and eventually built up enough stamina to run a sponsored race to help raise funds for Children in Africa.
“One of my greatest achievements was completing a sponsored run for Children in Africa; it was an absolutely amazing and exhilarating experience. I trained so hard for it; I saw raising money for children in Africa as a way for me to make my exercising more interesting and to help a very worthy cause in the process. To be honest when I first had the idea, I was quite nervous because I had never run or jogged 5km before. However, I turned the feeling of nervousness into confidence. I literally was training five days a week for six weeks, I went from briskly walking long distances to jogging then to running. I pushed myself each week not only with physical exercise but with avoiding the temptation to eat unhealthy foods. On the day of the race, I felt so excited that I put my all into each kilometer of the 5km run. When I reached the finishing line, I felt so elated; personally I felt it to be a great achievement as I knew that a couple of years prior I would have found it difficult to even walk the 5km let alone run. I must say I am proud of how far I have come.” Ogo
When Ogo began to notice a reduction in her waistline - sticking to the weight loss plan became very easy and natural. Her confidence dramatically increased and she began to develop a deeper sense of satisfaction with her appearance.
